Single-Station Gas Pycnometers For True Density:
Ultrapyc
Ultra-simple and ultra-precise
Ultrapyc gas pycnometers measure the true and skeletal density of solids to track their purity and porosity. Measurements take less than 10 minutes, so they are perfect to control the quality of your solid materials throughout the manufacturing process.
Ultrapycs combine decades of knowledge with groundbreaking innovations to be the most user-friendly gas pycnometers anywhere. For battery materials, pharmaceuticals, building materials, or any solid materials, true density measurement has never been more simple or more precise.
Key Features
TruPyc technology for unmatched accuracy in all sample cells
The accuracy of gas pycnometry relies on proper matching of the void space within the sample chamber to the volume of the reference chamber. A mismatch in this ratio leads to large uncertainty. To avoid this, the Ultrapycs offer the definitive solution: All Ultrapycs have multiple reference chambers to ensure accurate results whether you have only enough sample to fill the smallest sample cell or you have enough for the largest sample cell. The instrument automatically selects and uses the appropriate reference chamber based on the selected cell size.
TruLock lid provides absolute repeatability
The TruLock sample chamber lid was specifically designed for simple use and consistent sample chamber volume every time it is closed. This allows Ultrapyc instruments to achieve industry-leading precision. You will receive immediate feedback from the lid and can rest assured that the sample chamber volume is the same, measurement after measurement.
Powder Protect technology for safely measuring fine powders
Using the standard "sample first" expansion direction ensures that you always have control over the maximum pressure to which the sample is exposed during the measurement. Switching the unit to PowderProtect mode reverses this order and eliminates the possibility of contaminating your instrument with fine powders. The Ultrapyc 5000 series is the only gas pycnometer on the market that offers you the option to operate in either direction.
Precise, fast, and hassle-free temperature control
External water baths for temperature control are a thing of the past! Cut the clutter with the state-of-the-art Peltier temperature control offering temperature stability better than +/-0.05 °C on Ultrapyc 5000 pycnometers. You are ensured quick temperature stabilization and can rely on your samples always being measured at precisely the right temperature irrespective of your environmental conditions.
Intuitive user interface for simple instrument control
Ultrapyc instruments feature a user interface similar to a smartphone on their 7-inch touchscreen. The graphical overview of the measurement keeps you informed about the progress at all times. In addition, the instrument itself is all you need to perform a measurement and clearly see the result with all its details. The fact that you don’t need an extra computer saves precious lab bench space.
Direct connection to weighing balances to prevent transcription errors
You can eliminate the risk of transcription errors, which can occur when manually entering data from an external balance, by connecting your Ultrapyc directly to any balance with an RS232 communication protocol.
