Crestguard PI 10% Solution

Crestguard PI 10% Solution is a topical Microbicide. Effective against bacteria Including Spores, Fungi, Yeasts, Protozoa and Viruses. It is a film forming iodine complex. It is non stinging and non irritating to skin, wounds and mucous membrane. It is non staining to skin and natural fabrics. It’s microbicidal activity is retained in presence of blood, pus and serum. Recommended for Antiseptic preparation of skin and mucosa including vagina prior to surgery.

• It is fast acting broad spectrum antiseptic that kills gram positive and gram negative bacteria ( including anti biotic resistant organisms) as well as most Fungi/Yeasts, Viruses and Protozoa.

Composition :

Each 100 ml contains 10.0 gm povidone‐iodine equivalent to 1.0 gm available iodine.

Microbicidal Properties:

It’s a broad spectrum topical microbicide effective against Bacteria,Fungus, Spores Protozoa and Virus

Areas of Application:

• Antiseptic preparation of skin and mucosa including vagina prior to surgery, injections and aspirations.
• Post operative disinfection of surgical wounds to prevent sepsis e.g. Irrigation of surgical sites in orthopedic surgery, Prophylactic painting of the umbilical stumps in neonates.
• Antiseptic treatment of surgical wounds and traumatic injuries including lacerations, aberrations, first, second and third degree burns.
• Topically to treat infection e.g. Eczemas, athlete's foot and other mycotic infections, oral thrush, vulvitis and topical infection associated with vagina.
• For effective disinfection of water in bath and tanks to prevent cross- infection especially in hydrotherapy, patient bathing .
• Irrigation of body cavities to prevent and treat infection, including: peritonisis, post operative disinfection of thoracic and peritoneal cavities.

Presentations : 100 ml, 500 ml and 5000 ml
