Precipitated Calcium Carbonate is an innovative product derived from lime, which has many industrial applications. PCC is made by hydrating high-calcium quicklime and then reacting the resulting slurry with Carbon Di-oxide. PCC is used as an antacid to relieve the symptoms of indigestion and heartburn. It is used to prevent osteoporosis, as a Calcium supplement and to treat high phosphate levels in patients with kidney diseases.
