BSA is an off-white, 98% minimum, lyophilized BSA powder adjusted to pH 7.0 processed to be essentially free of any detectable protease. It is suitable for diagnostic reagent manufacturing and used for immunodiagnostic assays such as EIA, RIA and ELISA blocking systems. BSA is also a model protein used for blood banking reagents.
