TAM Air Isothermal Calorimeter
Product Details:
TAM AIR Microcalorimeter for Sensitive and Stable Heat Flow Measurements from TA Instruments
TA Instruments’ TAM Air microcalorimeter has been specifically designed for stable and sensitive measurements of heat flow. The device can be configured with a 3 channel or an 8 channel calorimeter. The 3 channel and 8 channel calorimeters can house ampoules with a 125mL volume and 20mL volume, respectively. All calorimetric channels are twin-type and include a reference chamber and sample.
The thermostat in the TAM Air uses a sophisticated regulating system to maintain a steady temperature within +/- 0.02oC. Thanks to the high stability of the thermostat, the TAM Air is suitable for heat flow measurements over long periods of time. It is also ideal for calorimetric measurements where sensitivity in the milliwatt range is required.
Key Features :
The main features of the TAM AIR microcalorimeter are as follows:
• Allows stable and sensitive heat flow measurements
• Operating temperature range is 5oC to 90oC
• Thermostat uses regulating system to maintain a stable temperature
• All calorimeters are twin-type and include a sample and reference chamber
• Wide range of calorimetric experiments can be performed
• Wide variety of closed ampoules available
Applications :
The TAM AIR microcalorimeter is used in the following applications:
• Quality control during manufacturing and preparation of cement and concrete
• Research and development of new formulations
• Food and environmental science applications
