Solenoid Cum Air Admittance Valve

The Vacuum Techniques solenoid valve is used along with rotary pump. It is fitted on to the pump inlet and is connected in parallel with the pumps electrical supply. When the electrical power is on, the valve is held closed. In case of an interruption of power supply, the solenoid supply ceases and air vent opens and admits air into the pump. This isolates to some extent the vacuum system and prevents the pump oil from reaching the system.
