Rheostat used in applications that require the adjustment of current or the varying of resistance in an electric circuit. The rheostat can adjust generator characteristics, dim lights, and start or control the speed of motors. Rheostats are spaced wound with best quality Eureka or Nichrome Alloy Resistance Wire having very low temp. Co-efficient and wire is protected with high temp. The winding is done on Porcelain or vitreous enameled drawn steel tubes, fitted with Plastic or aluminum die casted stands/fabricated steel stands. Phosphor Bronze Contacts are fitted on brass slider, Slides on solid drawn brass rods.
