Available with us are Potometers Simple that are used for investigation of transpiration and water absorption by the cut shoots. These apparatuses comprise a glass cylinder that is stoppered at both the ends. Through its lower end, a length of capillary tubing graduated in millimeters is inserted, whereas the cut shoot is attached to the other end, which has a glass tube, by rubber tubing. Also, a 2ml. syringe is provided to adjust the air bubble position during the setting up. The overall length of the potometer is approx. 390mm and the capillary bore is 1mm.
