Gold-Leaf-Electroscope
This is an instrument for distinguishing and estimating static electricity or voltage.
A metal disc is associated with a tight metal plate and a thin bit of gold leaf is settled to the plate. TThe whole of this part of the electroscope is protected from the body of the instrument. A glass front avoids air drafts yet enables you to watch the behaviour of the leaf.
