Aluminum quality in smelting stage gets deteriorated due to solid and gaseous impurities. Density Index indicates the extent of the problem and thereby help in gauging the extent of the degassing required, ultimately resulting in the high-quality end product and a decrease in rejection.
Our Density Index Unit (DIU) determines the density index by using two samples; one solidified under atmospheric (ambient) pressure, and the other solidified under a reduced pressure (vacuum) of approximately 80mbar (using Reduced Pressure Test machine*). Percentage difference in the density of both the samples is calculated with the help of the dedicated software supplied along with.
The accurate balance is interfaced with the computer through serial port RS232 (using an RS232 to USB converter, in case of absence of RS232 serial port in user’s computer).
