Conductivity Ingen Hauz Apparatus
This apparatus is used for comparing the thermal conductivities of different conductors; samples comprises of long wax-coated rods of equal length are placed with one end in a tank of boiling water covered with a radiation shield, and the lengths along the rods from which the wax melts are compared. The apparatus consists of six metal rods, one each of copper, iron, lead, aluminium, steel and zinc of size about 150x3mm(lengthxdiameter) fixed horizontally through holed rubber bungs inside a sheet metal trough of size about 150x90x100mm(lengthxwidthxheight) having six holes on one side.
