We offer innovative solutions, including charge air ducting for turbocharged engines. We provide air ducts from the turbocharger to the charge air cooler and from the charge air cooler to the intake manifold. Such components are
exposed to high temperatures and pressures; in the past they were mainly made of aluminium and elastomers.
MANN+HUMMEL focuses on modern manufacturing processes for 1K and 2K versions, primarily blow and injection molding. We have modern production techniques for every product, from simple blow moulding machines and
3D blow molding machines to special, horizontally designed Excell blow molding technology.
MANN+HUMMEL expertise extends to many fields. We handle standard materials such as PP or PA for dirty or clean air ducts, as well as high-temperature resistant plastic materials like PPS or special compounds for charge air ducts.
These processes make expensive materials like elastomers and metal superfluous and allow for a significant reduction of unnecessary interfaces, parts and weight. This does not only achieve cash savings, but also contributes to fuel savings, reductions in CO2 emissions, and improvements in quality.
