Cardiolipin antibodies as most important serological markers for the antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) are detected in solid phase enzyme immunoassays (ELISA). Cardiolipin ELISA tests allow the separate as well as combined detection of cardiolipin antibodies of the IgG, IgM & IgA type.
