- A Weight Scale is a measuring instrument for determining the weight or mass of an object. The instruments are used for many industrial and commercial applications, whereby these can measure the weight from feathers to loaded tractor-trailers. This type of weight scale consists of a spring that deflects under the load of object. Weight scales measure weight or more specifically, either the tension or compression force of constraint generated by the scale.
- Weight scales are different from balances as that measure mass or rather specifically gravitational mass of an object. The application area of this instrument is very wide. It is used in industries, godowns, commercial establishments for measuring small to very large objects or large volumes of objects.
